Mission

Noble hotels positively impact their communities by actively engaging team members in community involvement initiatives with a focus on education, health, wellbeing and the environment.

Noble’s Community Pillar is upheld by all of the caring team members that work within our organization.  Through a focused effort in the Four Cornerstones, Noble will be able to maximize the impact our organization can make within each of our communities.  This moves us closer to the vision of being the “living rooms” of our communities.

Walking for a Cure

A team of 18 staff members from the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee participated in the Wisconsin AIDS Walk on October 4.  A hotel challenge was created by Jack Allison, Team Captain and Director of Sales & Marketing for the hotel to raise $1200 in charitable donations.  The team surpassed the goal and raised $1700 for the Milwaukee Aids Resource Center of Wisconsin, which provides support to 23 counties in WI for individuals living with HIV and AIDS

Community involvement is one of the best ways Noble can leave a positive and lasting footprint on the communities in which we work and live.  The Hilton Garden Inn Sugarloaf collaborated with Peachtree Ridge High School’s Special Education Classes to develop a program to enrich the students and team members’ lives.
Leadership from The Hilton Garden Inn contacted and met with school officials to chalk out a detailed program for the special needs children to come to the property along with a teacher’s aid to assist in the hotel’s different operational departments.  Each student was then assigned a “buddy” from the hotel staff who would give the child a tour of the property and then proceed to their department with the student. For example, a staff member who worked in Food & Beverage would have their student assist with dishwashing, stacking cutlery, rolling napkins, etc. At the end of the visit, the hotel staff “buddy” would submit a written report of the visit to the GM and present their report in the Team Member Meeting.
Through the program, team members developed a trust and respect for the students with special needs.  The program offered the students a huge spectrum of real world learning opportunities.  The students were able to find their areas of expertise with certain tasks which increased their sense of independence and self-reliance.  The students had an opportunity to experience a professional work atmosphere and explore various jobs that are accessible to them after graduation.

Making a Difference in the
Lives of Others

From June to September, team members at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs were very busy on a very important cause.  The property’s Juvenile Diabetes Committee members, Andi Estep, Co-Chair; Linda Mosley-Co-Chair; Julia Sanchez, Shannon Worley, Joe Varnell, Rita Weekes, Don Ames and Carol Miketa, organized several events and activities to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Between the months of June and September, departments teamed together to collect the most change in specially designated collection jars.  On August 17 and September 15, the property hosted an employee bake sale where all proceeds were donated to the foundation.  A field day competition was held on September 21 where team members paid to participate in an assortment of activities such as a basketball shoot-off, horse shoes, putting green competition, ladder ball and steer/calf head roping.  These events and activities were a tremendous success with participation from most team members.
Finally, seven team members from the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs participated in the Nashville Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk on Saturday, September 20 at the Bicentennial Mall.  In total, the property raised $2,600 for the Foundation.
