OUR INVESTMENT STRATEGY

Over the past 25 years, commercial real estate has been recognized as a mature and stable investment class. Over this same time period, the lodging real estate sector as measured by NCREIF (National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries) has displayed commensurate investment returns to those of the broader all-asset class of the NCREIF index.

By definition, hotels and resorts are equal parts real estate (location, bricks, and mortar) and specialized operating business that sells inventory (rooms) daily. These daily "leases" lead to a high degree of performance volatility peak to trough during changing economic cycles that provides both opportunity and risk.  NCREIF and other investment data highly support the premise that active lodging and hospitality specialists are better positioned to provide superior risk-adjusted returns throughout changing market conditions than broader, non-specialized real estate investors. The supposition is that true lodging specialists provide real-time acumen to achieve sustainable business operations during periods of decline and maximize results during up markets - thus best protecting and enhancing investment value.
